UFC 170 Face-Offs: Daniel Cormier Gets Physical with Patrick Cummins Before Their Fight

The UFC 170 pre fight conference took place earlier today, as the conference ended the fighters are usually required to the customary face-off against their respective opponents in front of media present. However things got a little bit heated when Daniel Cormier and Patrick Cummins came face to face, it is safe to there is no love lost between either of them as you can see in the video courtesy of MMAFighting.com (Below). Cummins a late replacement for the injured Rashad Evans in the co-main event has managed to get under the skin of Cormier with comments he has made about the Former Strikeforce Heavyweight Grandprix Champion about breaking him in training and reducing him to tears during his time training for the Olympics.

Cormier, usually having a calm demeanour outside the octagon displayed a look of animosity and aggression towards Cummins during the face-off, which led Cormier to shove Cummins once they had come together for the face-off. This was something which was very uncharacteristic of Cormier, Cummins only stood there and replied to Cormier’s actions with a smile. It seems that Cummins has succeeded in angering Cormier, but whether this will play in his favour or not we will just have to see on Saturday night in the co-main event of UFC 170.
